Anglican Church Diocese of Liverpool No. 601
The present church was opened circa 1973/4. It was much more plain than the old one, but over the years has gained many internal additions - the 2 beautiful quilted wall hangings, the crosses, candlesticks, font and pictures – to name a few.
Also in March 1976 an act of parliament was passed allowing the parish of St. Philip to be united with the parish of St. David’s, Liverpool, to form the parish of St. Philip with St. David Liverpool.
When the parish was merged with St David’ in 1976, the congregation assembled in the church ‘on the St Philip's site.
The services where in English with a separate Welsh language service for the St David’s congregation.
